The 3rd anniversary theme was "You Light Up My Life"
with lamp shade hats mandatory. Note the little
Victorian shoes dangling from the brim of her hat.....She had spats on her shoes to compliment the lampshade hat.

The photos I have included in this email are
of 'The Scarlet Ladies of Abilene' Red Hat Society from Abilene, Texas. We
were on a Saturday shopping trip to the city of San Angelo, TX and these
pictures were taken in the restaurant where we ate lunch. Funny thing is--in
earlier years it was a famous 'house of ill repute' and they kept the
furnishings to decorate the 'now' place of business--an eating place. Thank
goodness for the change!

Waterville Valley, NH. The final event was a pajama breakfast and the
entertainment was a hypnotist. These ladies were all hypnotized and were told
they were watching a sad movie. The lady on the far left was so relaxed she
just slept through most of the show!
